For years beach has been used as a dumpster. It took 85 weeks to clean one of the of the dirtiest beaches of the country. It all started with one man: Afroz Shah – a Mumbai based lawyer who started by himself cleaning the beach and was joined by thousands of people from all over the India. On the 5 th of June a 300 coconut trees have been planted.
Afroz Shah and the Versova residents have shown what people are capable of when they have joint aim and common purpose. And we hope that this wonderful story will spread around the world.
